It will be someone with no experience based upon our hiring trend

Our last DC came in with a ton of experience… and sucked. Hopefully it’s someone from Kirby Smart’s type defense.

I'm with you on that, he was really good here. Time to get aggressive and nasty on defense again.  Tired of hearing about it and being the opposite for the last 3 years.

Slobberknockers and jockrockers. Nothing less.

He did but he was not coaching for a long time. He had a lot of success with the 4-2-5. We had terrible defensive back play and we had five of them out there every play. The 4-2-5 scheme was a terrible fit for our players from the start. None of the guys outside of Amaris brown seemed they like they were being coached up by the db coach and DC.  We really need to get recruit or get  in transfers that are better than we have at every position on defense. Outside of a a few guys we need help. I wonder if Golesh could flip Grier back. A healthy and motivated Grier would really help the linebackers.

Both prior DC had experience with Shoop and Spencer not sure If they were being handcuffed by Scott or what but we are the worst defense in nation so can only get better now.

Secondary was the worst secondary I ever saw...it's like they were mostly all just randomly running around and nobody covered anyone deep.

And he made adjustments to help that how? He coached horrible angles to the ball, IMO had players out of position too many times, and zero fundamentals in tackling.

I still don't believe that coaches suddenly forget how to coach. How many parents teach their kids to drive 140 mph on the Gandy Bridge?
