Seems like a solid choice to me. If USF could get a top 30 or 40 defense this year would have been quite a bit different.

Ok, like the enthusiasm but might want to slow it down a little .... 😃

Yes. This team could win the conference with a top 85-90 defense.

You can't look at rankings with his defense in yards and points.  You look at disruptive plays and turnovers.   The whole philosophy works with a high octane offense.   If you can get 2 or 3 turnovers a game you give a high scoring offense 2 or 3 more chances to score which should give them an additional 10 points or more a game.   45 to 35 games is what to hope for

Pretty sure USC's defense got worse this year after Todd O left.

Not now that a lot of talent is graduating and/or transferring out...

Almost every team is having a mass portal exodus. Will be a lot of options to replenish talent in the portal that isn’t coming from a 1-11 G5 team

Top 30 or 40? Wow, you're optimistic. I'll be happy with top 80.

The talent that matters is BB or GB and Battie. An elite rb and accurate mobile qb will help whatever WR’s remain get open and put up numbers. The only way the offense is bad is if the OL guys totally crap the bed, most of them have had to fill in this year and looked serviceable.
On defense, it can not get worse. Teams were scoring on 60%+ of their possessions,  so it really does not matter who is gone from that group.
Add in the weak schedule, and literally anything is possible next year.

Dont get me wrong, 4-5 wins would be great, but with this schedule there is a whole lot of upside.

All of our opponents are looking at the schedule, see USF,  and thinking W.
