This is a rough start…this goes to show you he doesnt have the contacts. He hired the first guy available. He was leaving a failed job at fau. Doesnt even seem like be had time to vet more. Poor start to coaching

It sounded like he had this guy in mind as soon as he was offered the head coaching position.  I'm hoping he sees something in this guy's defensive coaching style that complements the offensive scheme he's going to run.

results from 2023 season will determine whether he was a great, good or bad hire

I wouldn't expect much out of 2023. Any improvement would be something. No way we turnover the talen problem that fast.

We just went through two experienced coaches who looked like garbage. I doubt Saban could make these guys look good.

We need to get better players or Todd is gonna look like dogsh1t too.

I really need to step away from the keyboard, I'm starting to feel optimism and it's too early to start feeling that way yet.  Maybe after signing day and we fill some holes on defense.

Yep.  CAG has a plan.  He seems to have a vision of what he wants to do and how he is going to do it.  That alone is a step in the right direction

Year one will absolutely be difficult, but 4 wins should be a minimum. We wont be playing UCF, Cincy, and Houston. Also our OOC games will be easier. However, year 2 I expect a bowl game at a bare minimum. Year 3 and 4 I expect to compete for a conference title. Anything less I would see as failure.

Wasn't this one of Michael Vick's aliases when not using Ron Mexico?

I can get onboard with this. We have to figure out how to win those close games.  If that means squeaking one more TD out of the offense then so be it.  I just wouldn't expect a drastic change on the other side of the ball unless we were starting the wrong guys.
