Was thinking about it and getting outbid isn’t the worst thing. Chadwell and Deion are both good hires, for $3 million a year.

but for $5 million a year as a G5 program that’s a huge risk. What if they won 4 games in year 3 and their buyout is 15+ million?

That makes everyone comfortable heading into USF's upcoming announcement.

Simply doing my part, like any devout board member.

And this should have been known from the start.  To be dragged out, used and tossed...We wanted it so bad, too bad, and got shunned to put it nicely.

We should already have our infrastructure in place and planning 22-23.  Wasting time, wasting opportunity,

I'll go take a walk among the orange blossoms and relax.  I'm clearly still angry at just observing this stuff.  :slapmax:

But are we sure that's what happened just because we didn't hire the FAU coach?

We still know NOTHING about this whole process. This week ahead should maybe bring some clarity. It’s been the closest-guarded search we’ve ever conducted.

I'm panicked now. Sounds like Chadwell turned us down mid week.

USF is cursed. Being a fan is suffering.

This is it. It appears USF thought they could get Deion.... Wrong. Thought they were the most desirable landing spot for Chadwell as a backup.... Wrong. Pissed Herman off by passing him up and he went to our new conference rival where he will be focused on kicking our teeth in. It appears that we totally US-F'd up this hire once again.

USF no longer has fans. We are now all victims.

There's simply no justifiable reason to have fired your HC three weeks before Black Monday and be one of the last, if not the last team in all of D1 to secure your next coach. It's inexcusable. I'm looking forward to Kelly getting grilled by the two or three reporters who show up to the next coach intro presser.

Is anybody else growing more and more fearful that they are going to name Da Prato head coach tomorrow? If this truly was botched and we missed out on all our targets, I can see them spinning it by making it seem like Da Prato was the guy all along.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
