People are excited about Deion, not the next coach at USF.  I think you identify a real benefit - the press the USF opening is getting even being tied to Deion's name.  That should help out in the search.

Leavitt's players and residual culture beat those teams. Holtz was smart to avoid making wholesale changes, but I would say the wins were while he was at the helm. The team was left in much worse shape as Leavitt's players graduated and Holtz was recruiting like he was in the MEAC. Please do not bring the Holtz New Error back.
