One last correction tonight. USF still is one of the best jobs in the world. Tampa Bay is growing. Weather is beautiful. The women are beautiful. The opportunity in Tampa Bay is a nice one. New IPF. A fan base desperately wanting a winner. MK with the ACC connections. OCS. Best uniforms. Best mascot. Best band. Best fight song. Best tailgating. Best beaches. So many positives. Best path to the 12 team playoff. Best TV market. USF

I have to wonder if it really comes down to a money thing with Deion? Gotta believe he’s already in pretty solid financial shape.

Thought I read he's donating 1/2 his salary back to the university ...... ?

Yup. And another question that should be asked is how his team would do against USF this season? Who would win?

You’d rather have a semi-retired 65 year old Leavitt than the hottest coaching candidate in college football, who is undefeated this year - 25-5 overall, and who got a 5 star recruit to an FCS school? Look I get the love for nostalgia  and the respect for CJL for the past, but Deion would launch USF to the stratosphere.

And then we replace Prime Time in 2024 with Warrick Dunne or Christian Ponder (my favorite)?

Derrick Brooks as AD.

Yeah lol.. Seems we have some former FSU fans hoping USF ends up with Sanders. Meanwhile I’m still questioning if Jackson St can beat USF this season.

Only if MK gets USF in the ACC first: I wouldn’t mind seeing MK being Brooks in and be an assistant to learn the job and take over for MK in a few years.

That’s adorable.

We would have a top 25 class the moment we sign him. We instantly become media favorites and opportunities to move out quick if we have success. We would need to offer him a ridiculous amount and go broke to get him but it’s worth the money we will make from the hype he will bring.

He could do that anywhere.  Thinking he’d select USF over every other school is more outlandish than your other more outlandish comment.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
