Just for a small comparison the gaturds have 22 in the portal. FSU 13.

This is true but they also have much better recruiting  classes and better transfers coming in.  Power 5 money helps out a lot.

Manghum and I think Hamilton put his name in portal.

So if those, as an example, were better than what we had, we should be able to improve our roster as well. IMO we've lost ONE impact player.

Who knows? That is on  the coaching staff to recruit and develop talent. Only time will tell .

Uh, yeah.  I think both those schools will be recognized by most as being better off when the dust settles.  I think our position will be much more of a question mark.

Just curious. How is Herman doing down at FAU? I just know we're going to regret not landing him.

Their recruiting class looks similar to ours. Theirs is ranked higher then ours but its hard to gage with all the transfers that are not included in the rankings. Where Herman has done much better then Golesh so far is retaining the talent that was already there.  Much fewer of their best players have entered the transfer portal. They have some really good  talent on offense.

I think in a few years we will know whether Golesh or Herman was the better hire.

We have lost 3/4 of the impact players we had.

Ain't it great that we can each have our own opinions?

It is, I am with you however I would add our kicker.  One of the bright spots we had was the ability to kick it in and out of the end zone, I hope we can find someone that can do that again.
