Few things in life are as rewarding as peeing in the punchbowl:  given the way scheduling is shaking out conference wise, there is the very real possibility that our paths cross again. We need OOC games as do those seated at the big people's table. And since we're within walking distance and have what the homicide detectives refer to as "a verifiable history", this could come to fruition! But won't have to contend with them on an annual basis, so that is nice.

May not be a popular opinion, but I for one will miss it.  Rivalries feel like part of college football and this is the only real rivalry we have.  It at least made every last game of the regular season interesting, 1-10 or no.  After this we just have…rebuilding…

Here’s hoping we bring it back in the future.  I’ll miss the hate.

I agree with you and most of the others are simply butt hurt and therefore rationalizing trying to find a silver lining in this pathetic situation we have found ourselves in.  We have been relegated to play with a bunch of irrelevant teams that are better than us, not sure which part hurts the most.
