Exactly! Plus their OCS is put together a little better than the UCIF OCS lol

The seats are uncomfortable though.  Maybe too close to the row in front.

Both OCS are erector sets. Just FAU has the better erector set lol

I would guess to each his own. Not sure you’re smart asking the right person.

Not sure what this means?

But intense rivalries are a part of college football.  I'm not sure you can really build a program without one.  I've never been a fan of ucf as our "rival" but it's our own fault that they blew past us in terms of relevance.  Maybe that hate actually makes it a good "rivalry"

Actually true.  I would way rather go to Boca.

Not sure a rivalry should be based on the attractiveness of the locale .... 😃

rivalries will eventually fall into Ga Tech, Miami, and maybe FSU after the ACC invite…

Fine, I’ll be the one to say it. There is nothing good about today. This is not Christmas Eve and the reasons behind us playing them for the last time is a huge blow to us. We are in a lose/lose situation today. Win or lose, they are moving to a power conference after today. Regardless of the strength of the B12, it’s a step up and out from the AAC. They have elevated their school profile, athletics and monetary power with this move. Even if we go to the playoffs, we will still be looked down on. The only way the playoff thing pans out is if we make it to the CFP on a regular basis and make it out of the first round, other than that, it doesn’t mean much. Make no misconceptions, win or lose today, we lose (at least until the day we can move to a power conference).

I guess I kind of understand this thought process, to a degree, but if we're going to the playoffs on a regular basis, I really don't give a flying **** what conference we're in because it means we're consistently good and that's what's pertinent to me. Would I prefer to be in the Big 12 rather than the AAC .... absolutely .... but I'm not heartbroken about it and I'm certainly not heartbroken that they're going, especially when it means, hopefully, we're done playing them for awhile ... so yeah, there is something good about today, and 1/21/2023, for me anyway.

I'm into USF football and basketball for USF football and basketball, not who/where they're playing .....

Just not a sensible rivalry. I don’t have hate for them and previous to them passing us up we were rivaling down to them.  Again, you think your way and others can think theirs. I don’t need a rival to want to see football.  Playing Florida has a lot more intensity than playing UCF.  Saying you have to have a rival doesn’t make sense to me.  But you do need to play good football. Conference realignment busts up rivalries, hence the value must not be all that high - especially the USF/UCF thing.
