I agree, we're not a top destination so we'll have to wait in line.

I am biased.  I would stay at USF and pass on more millions.  I grew up in the Bowden era so that is the model to me...

agree. can't sit around. Personally I like Herman if he can recruit florida.

Didn't he fail at Texas? Why go with that?

He cleaned up Chucks mess there and his “fail” was a 7-6 season, as far as I know.

if you call 4 bowl wins in 4 years, including a win against georgia in the sugar bowl, after Chuck's mess then yes I guess he "failed"

Because he did not fail at Houston.   Texas has a whole internal dynamics that make it difficult to be successful.

The Standard for Texas is higher than that. They have unlimited funds, History and fertile recruiting area. He failed.

he did better than their current coach. I suppose you think Mack Brown failed at Texas too.

My standard is based on Mack Brown. after a few 8-5 seasons they were calling for his head.

Mack Brown also won them a national championship. Look what he has done at UNC

I would say Herman being fired had more to do with Texas' unrealistic expectations than it did him "failing".

He has won 2 BCS bowls.

Beat 6 ranked teams in 2 years at Houston.

Finished in the top 10 twice and 2 more times in the top 25 out of the 6 years he has coached.
