Mack Brown also won them a national championship. Look what he has done at UNC

I would say Herman being fired had more to do with Texas' unrealistic expectations than it did him "failing".

He has won 2 BCS bowls.

Beat 6 ranked teams in 2 years at Houston.

Finished in the top 10 twice and 2 more times in the top 25 out of the 6 years he has coached.

The standard I'm referring to is TEXAS's standard, not mine. I think Mack Brown did a great job. But if he got ran out for a few 8-5 seasons than the bar was higher for Tom Herman.

If we want someone in place by Dec 5 I am guessing it's someone without a job now. We cannot wait til 11/27 when the season ends to start conversations and then expect someone in here in a week.

Clearly Texas' standards are unrealistic. Mack brown played for two NC. Won one in the 16 years he was there.

It will be funny to watch them flail around now that they are in the SEC.

They won't win their division ,let alone conference or NC, but once in a blue moon.

Their current coach has a lower winning percentage than anyone other than chuck since 1936

If Herman failed at Texas then sign me up for some of that.

Are you saying that because Herman “failed” at Texas he wouldn’t be a good fit here?

Texas and Chris Del Conte finally decided it was time to let go of Tom Herman. Rumblings of him being fired began when the Longhorns lost back-to-back games...

Should be fun to watch them fire a coach every two months in the SEC.
