I guess i dont understand the calculus being used here, that transferring fixes your situation.

heck, jordan mccloud is locked up in a QB battle (and, doesnt look like he will win it...) at one of the worst P5 programs in the country right now.

The calculus is he is looking for a better opportunity.  Just like each season the coaching staff is looking for better options at starting positions like Bohannon this year.   We don't have to like the the way things are now, but this is how they are.

The transfer portal is an evolving realm of opportunity  to be taken and gained. You never know who is the starter until the game starts these days. One day you are the man and the next Day you get mad or hurt and someone else transfers or puts on the work for the job.

Yeah, and the bad thing is that crap is trickling down to the high school level and even youth/travel level of sports.  But it's a two way street.  There's no loyalty from the programs so why should the players remain loyal?

Never said they should.  May the best man win and he who works the hardest earn the the jobs qb1,qb2, qb3, and qb4.  I mean you are always one play away from taking the guys job above you on the depth chart for so many reasons these days.

Your correct we probably wouldn’t have know. We would have just had Gatorbulls quick eye and observation for the portal.

GB1 is definitely more seasoned and has "been there, done that"

him starting creates no worries in my mind, unless the offensive line lets every pass rush through...

As I said if Gerry B does what he did at Baylor here he is our best chance to win every game. Now the oline needs to do their part , the defense needs to step up, and the coaches need to step up as well.
