At 6'9 with that vert why not, if he blocks or alters one kick it was worth it. Guess he's not one of the guys still on the team transferring

If he's on the roster in the Fall, he becomes a football scholarship. So that makes at least one spot to fill on MBB.

I like anytime a basketball player wants to get out their and scrap a little.  I never did.

The guy is massive, has heavy feet but why not, It would be entertaining at the very least.

His BB bio does not mention that he played football in HS - that makes it pretty risky on his part, considering he is  presumably playing DE and probably has very little tackling technique (especially with his height)

Seems like an injury waiting to happen

From looking at his basketball pics, he is definitely a defensive end. I thought he was going 2 be skinny, but he looks likea football player that was playing basketball. At minimum he shouls be able 2 block a few field goals or bat down a few QB throws for us.

The pic reminds me of "Old School" Huey Whittaker blocking kicks :)

As long as a USF men’s basketball player does not have to take a shot at a rim with a football, this could be a good thing.

Wonder if he'll just be used on FG's to attempts a block?
