Probably but the XFL starts next year to replace them

UAB's stadium is being used by the USFL, USL Legion FC soccer team and the Birmingham Bowl so they are making good use of a new stadium.  Check it out today on ESPN2 at 5:00 ET as the Rowdies are playing Legion in the USL opening game.

Ours will definitely be a nice, cheaper alternative to RayJay to entice those type of events and the good thing with us is that, unlike UAB, we get the rental money.

Fun fact: It's not actually UAB's stadium... it's off campus and not owned or operated by the University.  UAB has a 20-year lease to rent the stadium.

All the better!  Let's entice the Rowdies for half their season, Bandits or XFL or whatever exists then for a few games, take on the Gasparilla Bowl (hey if FAU can do it) and hope Vinik works his magic with a few promoters on concerts and we get all of the rent, parking and concessions.

Rumors have said the XFL Vipers might move to Orlando due to the USFL team.

They tried to get the Rowdies to play on USF campus but they said no.  I think they were focused on getting St. Petersburg to build them a new stadium and get into the MLS.   Both failed.
