TAMPA (February 6, 2022) – The University of South Florida Bulls returning to the Yuengling Center on Monday to host Temple in the first tilt of a two-game homestand. Monday marks the first game of a six-game stretch to be played over the next 13 days – including five home games.

Monday's game is the rescheduled contests between USF and Temple that was originally postponed on January 22.

South Florida has won three of the last four meetings against Temple, but has never defeated the Owls in Tampa. USF won the last matchup in the opening round of last year's AAC Tournament, 73-71.

Javon Greene dished out a career-best seven assists last time out as the Bulls fell in Orlando to UCF, 68-49. The senior ranks second on the team this season in scoring (9.7 ppg), total assists (40), and leads the Bulls in defensive rebounds (80).

Caleb Murphy continues to pace the USF offense (12.1 ppg) and has a team-best 63 assists.

Russel Tchewa is the Bulls' leading rebounder (5.3 rpg) and led USF in scoring at UCF on Thursday with 13 points.

Jamir Chaplin is averaging 11.6 ppg over eight conference games to date. Jalyn McCreary is shooting 65 percent over his last eight games overall.

The Bulls enter Monday ranked 55th in the NCAA in scoring defense (63.6 ppg) and will look to slow a Temple team that has won two straight. The Owls are averaging 67.3 ppg this season in what should be a low-scoring affair.

Khalif Battle (21.4 ppg) leads Temple in scoring followed by Damian Dunn (15.7) and Jeremiah Williams (10.1). However, Battle has not played since early December for the Owls. Dunn is a 33 percent shooter from downtown. Jahill White (5.5) and Nick Jourdain (5.2) are Temple's top rebounders.
