You know, I am very understanding.  Having been a USF athletics (mostly basketball, baseball and football in that chronological order) since 1979 I do get a clear sense that USF fans have "reason" to be upset.  That is undeniable.  USF Athletics has failed many times and in many ways.  The football program was fantastic the first ten years and then we decapitated it.  You all have a reason to be upset.  I get it.

However, continuing to ruminate on the same things over and over in multiple threads multiple times a day does not help with anything.  I really think it is best that those whose days are ruled by disdain over a 1-8 or 2-10 record need time off.  It's not healthy to be so laser focused on things that make you angry and then to somehow show that anger at every opportunity.  Take a break, follow something else.  Come back when things are better...

If you can't do that then learn how to heal and invite hopefulness and optimism into your sports life.  You'll need and it will help you see more clearly. This idea that only "a W" or 12 of them can bring happiness is shallow and doomed.

And donating doesn't give you a right to ***** as so many think.  It's a donation, not a loan.  You didn't buy anything.

Grow up, be part of fixing things or just move on.  ******** and criticizing the past is not an ingredient to our success.  Lessons have been learned.  We can't change our history, but we can build a better future.

Yes....and no.  It also stings right now to know our bar is so low that we rewarded the results that we did. 

And having to hear that used as an attack from other Florida fanbases, after thinking it myself, is just a double whammy.

This is the kind of stuff that's maddening about this place at times. You seriously think the extensions were a reward for results ........ ?

I have to give it to him for being prepared. Comparing CBG's first 4 years record (57-66) to CJF's first 4 years record (39-72) was kind of genius to talk about why we need to stick with coaches for a longer period of time.  Weather you agree with that comparison or not, you have to give him credit on his prep.

And I have to say a big UGH to him saying the perfect timeline for the stadium opening is against Miami in 2027.  The "perfect" timeline is as soon as possible (I know, I know TSA, Bucs, contracts, etc. - it's ALL negotiable).   Let's get that thing built and open for 8/30/25.  Start this fall and have 3 full years to get 'er done.  I think they could raise a lot more dough sooner than later and get people more excited with an earlier date.

The one thing I like about Kelly is he is getting the school to invest in Athletics with the IPF, OCS project, and now signing coaches to extensions even though I don't like all of the extensions. At least he is going all in to improve the commitment to USF athletics.

After digesting todays events, I gotta at least give MK props for having huge stones.  He did something he believes in that goes against the grain of what most every AD in the country would do.  He has staked his reputation and lots of USF money on this decision.  For the sake of USF athletics, I hope he’s right and all of this was the right move.  Only time will tell.

To his credit, he did say if they could get it built earlier they would do it.
