Looks like he has good size and is a good athlete for a true freshman who just showed up on campus.

Was a pretty highly rated recruit for G5. Dad played for Bowden in the 90's and the NFL in the 21st century, so this guy knows how much work it'll take to make an impact. Think by 2023 he'll already be seeing the field.

I see each year that individual players are putting the off season effort in.   This year is a little different.  Coaches are encouraging it and rewarding it with the grit award.   That means they are publicly calling attention to it.

In my mind to have success in the fall, it comes down to the coaches putting the right players in the right position with the game plan.  Then that plan needs to work against the other team.   Also, will they adjust if it does not.   Finally, how does the team respond to adversity which they will face in Gainesville and Louisville.

I remember seeing Battie last year and he wasnt that cut up. But he definitely put in the workthis offseason in that upper right pic above.

He definitely has been putting the work in, he will always be slight but work with what you got and dude is a baller no matter what size he is, hopefully this will keep him on the field and have less one arm tackles.  He is currently my favorite to watch and every time he touches the ball it is exciting.

I think I can figure out the players. On the upper left looks like Running back Sr. Mychael Hamilton (Buddy is SWOLE) and Fr - DB Tavin Ward. In the upper left is Brian Battie. On the bottom left looks like K'WAN POWELL and bottom right looks like Sr. DB Joshua Green

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
