I am in bunches…we are going to do some winning next year.

One can only hope that cjs can finally turn the corner and learn from all them losses the adjustments needed to win.

Well, we are still on top but Michigan State is now right there. And although I agree with what someone said above. Just like in business you have to do something to separate yourself. Rays used analytics, Jose Fernandez was the first to really use almost entirely european players, so maybe we will be the first to mainly use the transfer portal, putting our resources there rather than on the high school scene, idk. just guessing. And it seems at least this year, that is panning out, maybe trying to catch lightning in a bottle. 8 tp commits with an average score of 81.25, closest school right now in volume is indiana, with 4 tpcs an average score of 82.25. And consider Michigan State, 3 tpcs, avg score of 89, we may have a lot of defensive holes so maybe 8 commits at a lower quality if better than 3 with a higher quality, especially since we probably had no chance to land any of those anyway.

The individual players' potential/star rating is all relative to the level of competition. Also, 247 downgraded just about every transfer that we received with the exception being Nick Bags. Some of the guys (Pinder, Jr. and Dukes) were significantly downgraded. I understand this to a certain extent, but just because a guy got beat out by another player or didn't fit into a system doesn't necessarily mean that his talent level decreased. I also see some of the usual "power program" favoritism coming into play in these rankings as well. None of that really matters. We need to see what CJS and his guys can do with the talent they are able to bring in.
