Has anyone else been hearing and reading rumblings about a CJS contract extension? Is that actually possible how can that be defended? Even Skip Holtz’s agent would laugh at that.

Last time that I checked, the 2020 season featured: A) Games played at the FBS level B) Stats and scores were recorded in said games C) Records were tallied based on stats and scores

That’s what I’m hoping and maybe everything just circles back to the same sources but if that’s true I just don’t understand how that could be defended no matter how it works out. Nothing could be more tone deaf than extending a sub .150 coach which is why I’m kind of worried that it may actually be true.

Yes ... the rumor is it will be extended two more years for two reasons.

1. The 2020 season just does not count because of COVID.

2. Because USF has reductions in scholarships thanks to Coach Strong.

The rumor is it would not include a salary increase.

It is completely unjustifiable vpmk should immediately be relieved of his duties if he even suggests suck nonsense, they have three more years they can fail together before ever having to destroy things for two more additional years. The CSH extension was pretty awful an extension here is unconscionable and entirely unnecessary. Is anyone honestly worried that someone is going to try to buy out CJS’s contract?

Last time that I checked, the 2020 season featured:

A) Games played at the FBS level

B) Stats and scores were recorded in said games

C) Records were tallied based on stats and scores

D) An FBS National Champion was crowned

As such, the 2020 season counted and CJS rang-up a 1-8 record

If CJS did not take 2020 seriously, that is his issue, not USF’s nor it’s fans

Now if CJS wanted to go full mea culpa and return his 2020 compensation, than I am sure that the University would be happy to give him a pass for last season
