I love Grothe, but QF is the best offensive player in USF history, not just QB.

But Grothe was the QB when USF was the best, won the most significant games (outside of BJD?), and set the Big East record.  Just sayin.  I don't think it's an apples to apples comparison.

I kinda thought the same but the offensive scheme was built for QF and when MW got to the right scheme, it really saw him flourish.

Can't forget Marquel Blackwell. He won some pretty important games for us as we grew into what we became when Matt was our QB.

Case could be made that Marquel was the most important qb because he helped make the Bulls more attractive football wise to the BE …… of course, there are debates to be had about that being a good thing or a bad thing to the long term health of USF football. :rolleyes:

Mike W is alive and well in the NFL- good for him. Reading, he has been cut more than slab of beef in a butchers shop but, he perseveres. Bengals are playing pretty good right now. Wilcox plays some special teams and gets an O shot periodically. So, there will be 2 ex-Bull's playing how cool.

He would be the QB I would in there if we were down 4 points with a minute left and had to drive 75 yards.
