Kudos to him. I always liked Mike as QB and thought he got a raw deal at USF.

We just couldn’t block for him, he was a statue like Eveld and they would stand back in the pocket and get pummeled, fumbling the ball away constantly.  We changed our offensive scheme, thank god.
He went off to WKU and had a nice career, was a flop with the Cowboys and don’t think he will be worth a flip on Sunday however I hope he plays decent so he can carry a clip board for a few more years and make bank, he is a good kid.

Mike White went to Western Kentucky.  USF football was infinitely better without him playing instead of the QF.

I kinda thought the same but the offensive scheme was built for QF and when MW got to the right scheme, it really saw him flourish.

it worked out for all. Mike White developed himself into a NFL QB. Flowers although not a NFL QB became the best QB (or 2nd best to Grothe) in USF History.

I love Grothe, but QF is the best offensive player in USF history, not just QB.

Interesting that, if accurate, per 247 the only other offers he had were 2 FCS and Marshall. Shows how much of an inexact science recruiting can be.

He is the kind of guy that gets missed.  He was considered a baseball prospect.  Started as a QB late in high school, so the big colleges didn't bother. This is exactly the type of player you need to find if you are not one of the big schools.

But Grothe was the QB when USF was the best, won the most significant games (outside of BJD?), and set the Big East record.  Just sayin.  I don't think it's an apples to apples comparison.
