This is plausible, but there has to be better options than Rice, La Tech, Wyoming, and UNT....right? ECU and Tulane are still better options than those 4. At that point, start looking at some teams from the Sun Belt and MAC.

There is no reason to go to 16 the conferences below aren’t poaching anyone and I don’t see how it benefits those above to take these teams to get to 18 or 20. Sometimes less is more.

It single handedly sucked away my excitement, hopefully no one sees that as a good idea

At one point, didn’t a conference try to go big like this and it was unmanageable? I am not up to date on all of my conference history, but I remember reading about this.

You are correct. That would just dilute the TV money. I could see OSU and TCU being swapped in that scenario and the remaining 3 from the Big 12 merging with the 11 teams in the AAC. That would be the only thing that would make sense. Alternatively, they could jettison Tulane or ECU and Temple and just go with 12 teams. That would probably be a better play.

Seems like the best possible scenario for USF is hoping the PAC 12 and ND sit on their hands. We move with a few other AAC teams, BYU and Boise to Big 12.

You should go back to that pic

As Puc says "Not until my people are free"

I would also like to see what is arguably one of the more, for lack of a better word, iconic icons anywhere.  It is a symbol of hope for what was once USF football.  I would say when the icon reappears, it will be like the "W" at Wrigley Field or the orange lights at Tropicana Field.
