TM showed he can orchestrate 6+ minute drives to keep an offense off the field so if the D can get some sacks or pressure to stall some of SMUs drives then it's winnable. I don't think we win a shoot out where both teams go Nickel D the whole game that's what SMU will want.

SMU has a solid offense with a QB that lead the nation with sixteen (16!!) touchdown passes through the first four games.  But their defense is around the same as ours -- allowing more than 400 yards to TCU and La Tech (and more than 500 yards for No TX!!)...

It will come down to mistakes (dropped passes and turnovers) on offense... and both teams could score 40.

SMU is not as a good as NC State, Florida, or BYU... and this will be a really good measuring stick to see where USF is.

When the offense scores 27 points I expect a win most of the time. The defense needs to get its act together m.

Don’t have the personnel to win games scoring 27 points, need more to offset this small, slow and talentless bunch.
