I think the excitement will come after we take our beatings.  Lets just try and make it through the bloodbath games with everyone intact and something to build off of...  I'm sure the big time games on the schedule help with recruiting but they are brutal for a recovering (hopefully) fan base.

As for the boiled peanuts, I'll be hitting them hard as well along with the beers.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t watched more than a couple games a year the past few years. I’m not seeing that changing this season unfortunately.

If we start with the most likely 1-3 record  I hope my heart will still be in it to watch at all. Maybe as the season continues and we get on a small winning streak I’ll feel differently…or maybe when I attend a few home games this year I feel better about it all,  but this overall feeing really sucks right now. I love my alma mater but I am just not feeling it for college football. 

I feel you after last year, there is not much to get excited for. I am more excited for tailgating than football for the third straight year.
