I don't see how a starting 5 of Murphy, Chaplin, Tchewa and whatever the portal tide washes up is going to get us to the NCAAT/NIT next season. Honestly, this team may struggle to get to double digit wins next year.

We are just delaying the inevitable.

I am pretty optimistic about this upcoming season, I think 4-8 is the floor and if we can get a little lucky we might go bowling this year.

Not out of the question but will have to go 5-3 in conference for that happen (assuming only one win from out of conference). Which means beating Hou, Temple, Tulane, ECU, and Temple. UCF and SMU are a possibility (but unlikely) and Cincy is a no way.
