Kawika is still my favorite player.

Great watching those highlights.

Loved Kawika's game from High School onward.   He was a beast and a central part of the original breakthrough rise of the program.  Regardless of Lewai's relative skills, it's a great thing just to keep Kawika and his family tied to the University and the program.

I've seen some tweets from other former players with pictures of their kids...many in USF gear.  Good to see kids being raised up right!

From what I've seen on the highlights, he definitely has speed.

Watching the video really makes me miss the Wally Burnham days - not only did our defenders know how to tackle, it always seemed like there was 4-5 USF players swarming to make the hit

Amazing how much better our team was with him. Easily the best DC Usf ever had.

Cant forget the D days of JPP and GS wreaking havoc in the backfield and on the qb. there have been so many good ones just seems like it's been tough to get all facets going at one time like the old days. This year I'm hoping 1) the **** virus is gone... But I'm looking forward to a full season w/ this staff to see how much improvement takes place.

Well remember with JPP it was actually only 13 days (games) 😀. I’ve had vacations longer than his USF tenure.
