Also, if you don't understand why someone likes something that millions of people like, it's probably you, not that millions of people enjoy boring themselves.

 That doesn't apply here. There's nothing morally or ethically wrong about the sport of baseball. it's not horse racing. 

It's clearly enjoyable because how many people find joy in playing baseball. some people finding that boring doesn't change that. 

 

*disclaimer, I am not against the sport of horse racing or a member of PETA, just presenting  a sport with an ethical question.

That’s not true at all I completely understand a lot of subjects that I do not understand how people enjoy them, I am sure if you think long and hard you can come up with some that you feel the same about. Baseball in and of itself is completely boring and the only reason anyone pretends otherwise is because of sentimental value, it is like going to a religious service and not even one where they handle snakes or do backflips in the aisle.
