The quicker we rid this team of most of Strongs players the quicker this team will be turned around...simple as that.

You cant fault Scott not beating good FBS teams with just avg FCS talent.

Not if potential recruits take one look at this program, which is crumbling before our eyes, and say "yeah, no thanks.".

Or they say “hey I can start as a freshman”

We’re in exactly the same situation today as we were when Taggart came to town. One major difference when it comes to recruiting is we can’t bring kids on campus. That’s not going to help Jeff.

That's why Scott has to sell them on what he is trying to do here and yes bad teams can almost always guarantee a good shot at playing time or starting if good.  That also might help get the sophomore and juniors to leave...which is a good thing.

Players that want to win won't come here. We are the new UConn and may not sniff a bowl game until 2022. This mythical cycle that everyone talks about is ridiculous - once you run a program into the ground you become radioactive to talent.

Kelly dealt this program a death blow by keeping the CCS cancer around a year too long. It killed recruiting, it killed the results on the field, it killed fan interest. To only distribute 5k tickets and have 1k people actually attend is a disgrace.

Currently ranked 4th for conference recruiting (2021) with still a chance to get to 3. I think we will still get ours.

I hope you are right. Then there is that pesky thing called development. Only time will tell.

You are correct there...develop may actually be more important. Time will tell.

The negativity here is understandable but excessive. If Jeff just gets *some* bay area talent to stick around we won't be world beaters but we will get off the floor.

And if Jeff Scott is a half decent coach we will do more than get off the floor.

I know it FEELS like this is forever but it's not.

And we have to find a way, eventually, to pump more financial resources into the program - as we all know. The comparative numbers are eye-opening: http://cafidatabase.knightcommission.org/fbs/aac

Is it me or does our Covid 19 policy seem more rigid than other schools? It seems we were without multiple players for weeks and from what I understand it was contact tracing not just positive testing.

At least Townsel and Evans have shown some promise. Little known fact, Roberts is actually the team's leading tackler.
