If by having "Perspective", you mean coming to grips with constantly sucking. Then you are on to something here. If nothing else, we have stability in that area. We are the classic underachievers. I have excepted this one fact. USF Football will continue to suck until it doesn't and I may not be alive to witness the change.

A philosophy that has helped in so many in so many facets of my life. USF athletics is just a metaphor for the big picture, especially so far this year. Teams and coaches with a year or more under their belts playing and practicing together should, in theory, be less impacted by Covid and a shortened off-season.

That is out the window. Our mindset has to be one of player evaluation. If a kid makes an incredible play (Ford’s touchdown) that is what needs to be discussed. If a kid looks lost (Roberts, Hampton, Sails at DB) that’s what needs to be discussed. With the later that should be done in decent way...not to grind him down to the ground. Coaching strategy should also be discussed (although this can difficult with the current talent level). My point is this is not a regular USF season and next year will not be either. Add the entire right side of the defense. Also, I would add, this team appears to be extremely slow and weak.

I don't agree with what CCS left here. I think he got good recruits that had plenty of P5 offers. I think they just didn't develop. And the players kicked off the team weren't impact players or were already graduating. And Devontres Dukes came back. I don't like throw away years, you should always try to make a bowl game. It's not fair to the student athletes on the team. i think we can make a bowl game if we start Noah Johnson. Recruiting rankings taken from Bulls 247: National ACC 2013: 54 1 2014: 42 1 2015: 66 1 2016: 66 5 2017: 76 5 2018: 65 3 2019: 77 5 2020: 109 9 (90% CCS commits) 2021: 50 3 (So Far) Recruiting is the #1 problem Also please tell me what you have seen from Noah Johnson that makes you think he is better than Jordan McCloud? That TD drive against ECU was against backups in garbage time. I'm not in love with McCloud at QB, but I haven't seen anything that has been better on this team.

That freshman class is apparently hugely impactful as we are a long way from the middle of the pack we should expecting given the talent on our team. Hard to find optimism in much associated with USF football these days.
