Can we do the same with the entire defense? They are the ones who lost this game...

Basically he has to recruit an entire depth chart.

I’m afraid it’s been dead for a while. We let UCF blow by us. USF once had all the momentum in the world. The state of this program is incredibly disappointing. It’s been a complete failure.

The leadership pussed when we should have been making moves.

CJL turned down an offer from Alabama...just sayin.

Two things: 1 shockingly enough Alabama was a **** show and we were the more stable option at that point and 2 he gave birth to this place and it the only coach that we will ever have that will actually love it here and want to be here (for that we fired him to get the “better” we have seen since, we need to hire back Judy and Doug so that we can fire them for that unforced error).

Agree on point 2, but point 1 is a bit of a stretch. Was Bama a train wreck at that point, yes. Was that still a destination job with an incredible ceiling, yes.

And you’re 100% right about CJL, he was here to stay and be our version of Bobby Bowden. This was his baby and he was devoted to it more than anyone else with the exception on possibly Leroy Selmon.

Football is on the same track that Basketball was on.

A couple of interesting years early on then crapped the bed

Remember, this is Scott's first HC gig. He's never even had the coordinator gig to himself - he had to share it, however that works.

There are going to be growing pains with CJS himself.

Something to agree on and it showed in a few spots tonight.

I didn’t say it had more up side but it most certainly was more stable, CJL should have thought he could stay here for life which is a lot better than not being able to make it long even with the last name of Shula.

Yeah we can never really challenge for a Conf championship. We had one great chance a few years ago and that was it. I am starting to wonder if we are just the mid level team at best.

This program can be turned around...college football is mostly about talent and we have just a few players that would start on even a bad FBS team.   Ford, our TE and thats likely about it on the offense.   On defense Sails and Hampton maybe at best.

We will likely so no improvement this season..next year maybe we start to see signs that things can be turned around here.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
