Wrong. We didnt have 10 penalties

Idk I kind of have a love hate relationship with penalties, I’ve seen plenty of penalized teams come out and dominate and play fired up football. Sometimes you can go penalty free because you are just playing flat and going through the motions.

**** that’s me... honestly what did you see that looked better than our FCS game last season? We had some fast RBs that did fast things on broken tackles outside of that and a fluke play we looked pretty much like last years team.

I'm probably the most pessimistic fan I know but even I can see this is a team with a brand new staff and scheme with no off-season or spring and a first game.

It was boring as hell but maybe it was because I was overly excited for the return of football and the game fell flat.

If we look as good as last years team at this point, there is still hope for improvement.

0 turnovers

4 penalties (last year we were 125th nationally)

0 points in the 2nd half allowed

This team upset GT last year.

We had 12 players out.

This was not just a win on the scoreboard it was a signal. Things are different.

I love you bro but backs are quick, very few penalties, dominate win.  We are not world beaters but we are markedly better than last year I n my opinion, next week will be interesting

Last year we had a lot of penalties and looked like we were going through the motions

1. Fewer penalties.

2. Kept the other team out of the end zone.

3. Held a triple option team to 200 yards rushing.

4. RBs weren't running alone out there. We had some good blocking. Also, getting the ball into the hands of playmakers.

5. Last year was not a brand new coaching staff installing a new scheme up against the backdrop of an unprecedented pandemic.

6. Last year's FCS game was the third of the season. This was our first time on the field with this team. Also, Citadel is a lot better than SCSt.
