I think the reasoning is because the backup QB, 4 OL, and a TE were unavailable. Why? We don't know, but we will find out. I'm not mad about a 27-6 victory that was never really in question. There will be more downfield passes, just not today.

Can a few of them be completed too or is that too much to ask

Even Charlie managed to win his FCS game since we have been in FBS only CWT managed to not be able to do that

Chuck's first FCS win was an unimpressive 31-17 win against Stoney Brook with the most dynamic player in USF history at the helm. We trailed 10-7 at half and only pulled away in the 4th quarter.

Charlie won his FCS game (in disappointing fashion) with a roster chalk full of talent. Do you remember scratching and clawing to beat Elon with the best QB in program history? I do.

We shall see. You just wanted to SEE more downfield passing. You will get your initial wish. That is why genies are so tricky.

Who cares about yardage?  Our QBs were 18/25. Not one dropped ball that I can remember. We had over 400 yards rushing. There really was no need to air it especially with 3 OL starters out. Why put a QB in position to get hurt needlessly when their were so many unknowns about the OL?

Maybe you forgot what the QB situation looked like last year when Barnett was getting beat up the Mcloud got beat up.

Nothing to gain and nothing to learn by game planning to throw all night when the run game was working.

Idk I kind of think showing fans that it exists would have been a worthwhile gesture, I hope you are right and we are just playing our cards close to our vest but most of the time when people claim that is happening it’s because the team is holding a deuce- seven off suit

It was actually Stoney Brook, but your point is well taken and correct.

If you are expecting pocket aces you are going to be sorely disappointed. I'm hoping we have suited connectors and we can hit big on a draw at some point in the season.

Ahh correct, it was Stony Brook.

That blocked punt in the first quarter was incredible foreshadowing.

With one month of practice, this team is more disciplined and sound than any of Charlie’s teams
