I’m bored so I’m going to play devil’s advocate and piss of some CCS haters.

How I rank the coaches -

  1. Taggart
  2. Strong
  3. Holtz

I am pretty sure that anyone on this board could have won between 8-10 games coaching the 2017 team

CJL would have run roughshod over the 2017 schedule at 12-0, all 30+ point victories

CWT would have been 12-0 in 2017, with records for points scored and points allowed

Even CSH probably could have won 12 games that year (though half would have been slogs)

As such, 2017 was an outlier for CCS - the bottom line is he lost 14 of his last 18 games, playing the weakest competition any of our 4 coaches have faced

No shizzz.  CCS was a debacle from the San Jose State game in 2017 until the bitter end

Hit me with a medley of your best stuff

Well now I don’t want to do it because someone actually asked for it, I don’t want to train people to believe I preform on command.

he did not develop players, any of them, he made them worse.

This is so true...his time here I can't really think of any players that got much better when he was here most just were the same.

Holtz left behind for Taggart a complete dumpster fire with little talent.  Scott will inherit a team with some talent just haven't been coached well so the turn around shouldn't be as tough for Scott if he is a good coach.  We saw that Texas turned around pretty quick once Strong left and got a good coach.

There is zero evidence to support that statement. Regardless, he had the advantage of BCS players.

He developed BCS players  and talent that no one else recruited.

CJL undeafeted versus UCF. CCS never beat UCF.

He would have still have problems beating Memphis and Temple. He had difficulty with smash mouth teams year after year. Further. UCF is much better than when we played them in Leavitt days.

Agreed. But the quote that we would go 13-0 now with Leavitt is almost comical.
