He would have still have problems beating Memphis and Temple. He had difficulty with smash mouth teams year after year. Further. UCF is much better than when we played them in Leavitt days.

I wonder why?   🤔

Agreed. But the quote that we would go 13-0 now with Leavitt is almost comical.

Well i never said that, I pointed out CJL was undefeated against UCF and CCS never beat UCF. USF was beating top 25 teaming consistently and trending on a national stage under CJL. We were a laughing stock under CCs.

Not comical when looking at his ability to recruit/develop vs. who we are now playing

He would have more competition in recruiting than 2007 and could not sell the BCS (or P5) brand. Not sure he would be any superior in developing players than ucf, Memphis, and Houston. Potentially a zero sum game at best. Going 13-0 would take some work to buy in.

The AAC competition is not really that much different really from the old Big East.  So I call BS on this statement.

Really??

How many more Top 25 teams did the old BE team that the AAC team has had recently??

The only difference is the classification, has nothing to do with the actual real competition level....prove me wrong.

The Big East was the weakest BCS conference.  The AAC is the best non-P5 conference......There is almost NO difference in the real caliber of the best teams in the either leaque.....with the exception of when USF and WV make the Top 10, which had almost everything to do with the fact that BE was BCS, which was BCS bias.......NO?

I agree with this point and have so consistently in the past. We’ve had 4 top 25 teams ranked at once pretty consistently. We typically get the NYD bowl game and either win or are competitive when playing P5 teams. Compared to the BE, those teams did have more of a name but I would match up many with current AAC teams pretty easily. Unfortunately USF is not in the mix right now but once we are we will add even more depth to a pretty decent conference.
