Someone mentioned Lane leaving Bama, but I haven't seen anyone mention anyone else.   Lane isn't exactly a great example of professionalism.

Well?   We're waiting

Waiting for what?

Lane was basically let go by Saban. Everyone else finished the playoff.

My only concern about all the FAU coaches is they got beat bad by rival UCF in last two years.

Hopefully we have better talent and they can do better here.

I’m more concerned that we weren’t content enough to freaky Friday with UCF so now we are trying our best to swap places with FAU as well.

Yeah, I don't think anyone was begging him to stick around

Has anyone researched to see how many assistant coaches from teams in the college playoffs, that have been hired as hc elsewhere, have left their team before their team finished to take over their new programs?

We are 0-0 with a new head coach and new staff...I think your request has been answered.

To see the research

He asked if anyone has done it, of course they have. I am not the person and I don’t know who they are. It is however the most common practice in college football that when someone gets hired away to a new school as their head coach they immediately move to their new job. That’s why despite the 30 something head coaching changes every season people remember the handful of times ever that someone stayed at their old gig.

The guy hasn’t even won a single conference championship
