Coaching USF is supposed to be his job,

It is.  He starts full time when his other position is completed.  Happens all the time.

It doesn’t happen as often as you think and even CJS said it wasn’t horribly common and he was surprised that everyone was being so accommodating to make it work.

It happened this year with OSU DC going to Boston College.  They just lost so he gets to start early.

I didn’t say it’s never happens I am saying it is more common that when people take a new head coaching job everyone moves on with their life sooner than later

Has anyone researched to see how many assistant coaches from teams in the college playoffs, that have been hired as hc elsewhere, have left their team before their team finished to take over their new programs?

Someone mentioned Lane leaving Bama, but I haven't seen anyone mention anyone else.   Lane isn't exactly a great example of professionalism.

My only concern about all the FAU coaches is they got beat bad by rival UCF in last two years.

Hopefully we have better talent and they can do better here.
