As I expected, Scott will not be calling plays. Good on him for not trying to take on everything, and knowing how to delegate.

I liked how he will still be a part of it and have say in critical situations

Heard a lot of things I liked:

  • Had this job Circled for a lot of reasons,
  • Family involvement
  • The incredible support of people who were there for him:  Elliot, his replacement, and the example of Clemson Family
  • MK Called Dabo, Dabo told CJS "this is one of them jobs you want."
  • Grow upon the vision of LRS
  • Thank all coached for the foundation they built.
  • Not a Broken program.

This presser gave me loads of hope.  Obviously we will see if that hope turns into reality in the form of championships.  I will say that, although I was in favor of and excited about the hiring of CCS, I was at the presser where they introduced him, and left a bit underwhelmed as opposed to this one where I am now fired up about the season!

I like how he has been many  years around Clemson from before they got hot that is good...he has seen how a program at top was built with time.

Not like he has been at Clemson for just the last 3 years and didnt see the growth.

Very impressed. So many things I liked in this press conference from start to finish. The two things that stood out to me, his immediate committal to hopping on board as a donor and the presence and support from his Clemson guys that were there in the room (yes, they are likely on a recruiting trip, but still shows what kind of a person they think CJS is). He really sounds like a stand up guy.  Personally, my excitement for the program has plummeted since CWT left. Can't wait to support and follow this program under CJS.

POLISHED.

Words and when he used them impressed me. Even when media was asking silly questions.

"Who will you be retaining from this staff?"

I'm sure his answer really was "Nobody", but he gave the seasoned veteran answer.

CJS hit all the bases, cool, calm but slightly on edge, thanked all the right people, included the community, focused with a positive outlook,.... just did an outstanding presentation!

Wow!  CJS hit out of the park.  It was also great to hear the President talk about the importance of athletics and his commitment to athletics.  What a contrast to Chuckles presser.  When they asked why USF he babbled something about high school coaches he knows in the area.  All the signs were there early on with him.  Oh well enough about him.

Time to turn the page.  Welcome Coach Scott to Bulls Nation!

I like a coach who wears his emotions on his sleeve instead of putting on an act.
