That being said, if you put lipstick on a pig it’s still a pig. Strong left the cupboard pretty bare, so unless there are a lot of players in the portal that want to play for CJS, don’t be surprised if it takes a couple years to get back to a winning record. I’ll be surprised if we aren’t contending for a conference title by 2021 at the latest. It’s been proven that you can rapidly change your trajectory in this conference - UCF, SMU, and even USF once we switched offenses. I have a good feeling that we can get Chase Brice to transfer down with CJS. If we can also land Rodemaker and Smith, that’s a much improved QB room. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if others transferred in as well.....guys like TJ Chase and Regan Upshaw come to mind. There isn’t one player that we can plug in and fix all of the OL issues, but my hope is that through development and scheme adjustments, we can at least get average play up front.

Hopefully we can find 6 wins in year 2. nah, we can do better than that with better coaching and play calling alone. If we get an influx of more talent we can win 6 or more

Scott Frost took UCF to a bowl game after 0-12. This isn't the NFL. If CJS is a great coach, he'll win here early. The roster Frost inherited had about half a dozen guys that were NFL draft picks, and a promising young QB. I don't see either of those things on this roster. What do we get from the portal and possible transfers from Clemson like Chase Brice. Alot can happen to upgrade this roster.....but I do think it will take a couple of years. Also upgraded coaching staff and attitude can make a big difference right away.
