Not to mention that twice this season we've lined up to go tempo on first and goal from the one (BYU and GT) and had an O-lineman jump offside to make it first and goalfrom the 6. You just can't do that kind of stuff.

preach it. And it’s our senior leaders doing it. We would have won with a decisive TD at Tech.
We would have won by three scores if McCloud hit Mc Doom wide freaking open.

This actually gives me hope wheras it depresses others.

yeah just force them to run the ball and we should be good....

The difference is that the defense has been staying in their lanes and being more disciplined as of late.   We have played more as a team with less individual accolades or interest from the front seven.

Aren't the Tackles for Loss stats showing that?

They need to scrap the up tempo in the red zone. It’s not only USF but others that screw up on this. It’s the worst strategy since the invention of the end zone fade pass...

we just played the #122(#123 scoring) and #107(#105 scoring) run offenses.

that might have as much to do with our improvement as anything else.

we are about to play the #1 rush offense

Not sure how Navy's rushing defense is so good... they're pretty small up front outside of their 310 lb NT. I'd imagine we will see much more of the 2 TEs and pulling linemen given how effective it is compared to anything else we run. I am also optimistic that we will start hitting our open receivers deep. It's crazy how consistently McDoom was open last week and I doubt Navy has anyone that can cover him on a deep route. Offensive line has been giving QBs more time to throw lately and they actually played pretty well last week.

we just played the #115 and #123 rush defense.

Navy is #9 (#16 total defense)

sometimes how well you play has more to do with who you play than how you play.

This is why CFB is so awesome and surprising mid-season.
