I'd really like to be positive.  Navy just beat a team that took SMU to overtime.  It might be close in the first quarter.  Navy is a lot better than BYU.

You can be worried about Navy because we should be but not because they beat Tulsa.

We have the athletes to go against Navy but do we have the coaching and discipline...that is where Navy has us beat the most.

We could win but we have to play at a level we haven't seen this season...hope it happens.

Would we beat Tulsa the way they did on the road? Doubtful. I get they have not played much in quality but they are dominating them.

The difference is that the Navy QB said he had a bad game after they routed Tulsa. Meanwhile we beat BYU and somehow we did no wrong. A win doesn’t fix anything. Chuckles is under delusion that a win means he did everything right. It seems like every game we get caught substituting and they run a play where no one is even lined up.

This was crazy vs. BYU. We had 12 men on the field twice - resulting in having to call timeouts. We had 10 men on the punt team twice. We consistently have guys running on and off the field while the other team is ready to snap the football. It's pretty simple: If they don't sub and they're running tempo, we can't sub either or we're going to get caught with our pants down. And I constantly see the players staring at the sideline for some magical call instead of lining up and focusing on what's in front of them. This is all about coaching and discipline. We're not the most talented team around, but our woes are compounded by what seems like a lack of preparation.

Not to mention that twice this season we've lined up to go tempo on first and goal from the one (BYU and GT) and had an O-lineman jump offside to make it first and goal from the 6. You just can't do that kind of stuff.

We also had just 10 players on one of the punts...no organization from the sideline.

I’m still trying to figure out how USF beat Tulsa last season. That was pure luck. USF is a better team than last season.

FIFY

All part of our coaching problem.

I agree on this.
