I’d settle for competing in the G5 at this point.

We have had good/great seasons over the year and a number of "feel good" signature wins but lets face it...weve  never won a conference championship. Nobody likes the stepping stone coaching changes but, and I hate to say it..look over in Orlando. One coach leaves another steps in they barely miss a beat..So, something is missing from our program??? Until we can prove that we are dominant in the G5 (steadily) nobody is going to take us seriously.

What’s missing is good decision makers. Our prior ADs f up. We pissed away BCS $ on non revenue sports instead of having an IPF 10 years ago. USF sports administration is a **** show when it comes to football.

All ADs hire someone that gets fired.  It is life in college football.  The AD that got rid of CJL also hired CWT.  The same guy that hired CCS hired CBG.  This happens.

He hated it here and it showed.  So I'm sure he's tickled to there whether the football team does well or not.

Certainly Trip. And when NEB adds "fired and old and tired" to the descriptor, it's even less appealing.  Let's focus on not hiring that rather than someone with some proven experience.

Ya gotta use that Quote button more often ...... had no clue what you were responding to.

And we are discussing football so moving goalposts fits right in ....

We had an AD who wasn’t happy here hire a head coach who wasn’t excited about being here.  I wonder why that didn’t  work out...

Some former players are on Twitter today really bringing to light how at first Strong thought he was too good for USF when he got hired. I don’t know how to repost tweets but look up Steven Bench and Johnny Ward on Trevon Griffin

For example, according to Johnny Ward, when Strong addressed the team during Bowl week leading up to the game against South Carolina, he told the team how happy he was to be coach at "The University of South Carolina".
