The Prancing Bull w/ smile vs.....the Bad Ass Bull that exudes strength, dominance, pride, and a "couple" other attributes...The BAB is the epitome of our USF roots....

The end result of this poor effort was the best thing that ever could have happened - the university adopted an outstanding logo brand throughout, as it should have years ago. There is ZERO reason that a university must have unique marks for its academic and athletic sides. I have no idea why anyone ever adopted that rationale - especially when you have a mark as memorable as the iconic bull U. I’m also very impressed that the decision was made to make the change. They easily could have just let it sit, expecting that the furor would have died down over time. As for Joe Hice, he shouldn’t have his job. The decision to change the mark showed a lack of understanding of his audience - which is, essentially, THE KEY part of his responsibilities.

Pretty sure there are other universities that have different logos for those different sides ...... and I don't think there was anything wrong with USF's different two logos before the ML fiasco.

Exactly! Which you can now see both the lettering and U when the TB Lightning are playing at the Amelie Arena. Looks a lot better this season.
