One of the biggest mysteries of USF football is why did we not give the ball to Mike Ford more.

Coaches didn’t want to reward someone who couldn’t stay off the weed.

Every time I saw him walking around on campus he was high as hell.

Him and Darrell Scott were two biggest waste of talents in the history of USF football.

Fair enough, but we don't get those big wins without him.  Also the international bowl, which was almost bad.

I am sorry, but this award goes to Josh Julmiste and/or Johnny Peyton

Scott gave us a pretty good year in 2011 and left with only one year of eligibility.  Ford had at least 2+ good years of service

Scott is considered one of the biggest busts in college football: https://seeingthingssecondhand.wordpress.com/2013/05/16/in-memory-of-darrell-scott/amp/

Yes but he also busted by the time he transferred here, kind of like Dunkley.  Both those guys contributed nicely for us after their first failed stint as a 5 star recruit.  I think Ford owns the biggest bust.

Can’t remember but I thought I heard that Scott had stopped going to class and had no choice. He got a try out in the NFL but never played a down. I think Ford was an academic issue too. All of this was before a more strict academic enforcement by the administration.

Scott was during the Skip days and things were much stricter, he got an invite to the combine and believed he was ready to pay for play but was mistaken.  Ford was constantly stoned and I can’t imagine he was much of a student sober, both pissed away some great talent that is for sure.

“My name is Mike Ford and I like to smoke weed” is an exact quote from Mike during a class ice breaker in one of my classes in 07.
