Gilbert could not figure out red zone without flowers majic.  Honestly didn't hear red zone once from Bell but I know he scores points so think we will be ok.

I don't think he did. The ONLY reason I say that is there was a game (either the bowl game or vs. the Cent Fl Golden Knights) where it was clear he wanted to be aggressive and Charlie quite demonstratively said no (this was all captured by the cameras). It was whatever game where USF got the ball with about 25 second left in the half around the 30. Gilbert pulled his hat down pretty angrily.

I get that is one snapshot of one time management decision, but my guess is Strong influenced other conservative calls as well.

Not saying you're wrong, but that's a bit of a leap.  Without knowing exactly what was said, it's hard to assume that's what it was.  I'm sure that we'll never know for sure.

I any event, it's nice to hear that the playbook will be opened up.

I'm old enough to remember him playing for the Giants.  Think they also had Rosie Gieir before he went to the Rams, **** Modzuleski and Jim Katcavage on that line.  Sam Huff was a great middle linebacker at the time.  And now I couldn't tell you any of the Giants linemen. Tough to get old.

Edit:  So the one guys name would be a name that rhymes with click.

Oh good, I was worried his name rhymed with Duck or Spit! Those would have been terrible names to be forced to live with.

Bell is going to have the same control over the offense that Gilbert had. There is nothing that says otherwise. He is hopefully and more than likely, going to be better at it.

Wait, what?  The Tampa Bay Times sport section?  Must be because he's a former Gator.

Only a couple times, and mostly in reference to Lindy Infante and Steve Spurrier who were  strong influences on Kerwin's style.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
