Dave I want some of what your drinking. Guys, the the gravity of this drag on is that our OC is gonna be Burke.  What are the chances that Chuck retires?

Our OC was always going to be Burke!

The national football coaches convention is this weekend in San Antonio. This is where all the college football coaches go to with resumes in hand and can interview for multiple positions in one place face to face. I would beat CCS will interview Kerwin as well as some other at this event.

CCS would be incredibly tonedeaf to promote Burke...

possibly even worse than tonedeaf, it may even be spiteful.

he HAS to know the fan base is unhappy right now & that the program needs an infusion of excitement. short of him stepping down, hitting a home run on this OC hire is the best way to generate excitement & confidence right now.

promoting Burke would literally be the opposite of a home run. it would deflate the fan base further & cause confidence in his coaching/staff decisions to plummet even further.

as much as I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt by attributing a Burke promotion to tonedeafness, I don't think Charlie is THAT ignorant/oblivious to the state of the program & the interests of the fans...

given that fact, promoting Burke would be tantamount to spite.

It would be a great hire, but a huge demotion from him. Houston just hired WV coach so that is interesting. He underachieved in the fans' eyes at WV with Grier and Company.

I honestly think that USF hasn't hired anyone because they don't have the money to pay the salary that the coaches they are interested in want. Just an opinion.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
