We got the Big East invite without the OCS or IPF, and we were one of the last 8 standing when the Big 12 toyed with the expansion idea a couple years back. If we are left out come expansion time, then FCS would certainly be worth looking at, especially if our rivals to the East get the invite, which not only looks possible, but kind of likely at this point...should they decide to expand at all. I agree with everything else..

What makes you so certain there will be a new round of expansion?

Well...I did say "should they decide to expand at all", which means maybe it will happen, maybe it won't. I'm concerned about where we stand should they decide to though.

I feel a little silly being the one to have to point this out to you. Did you not see the "Big List of Things That Will Get You Into a Better Conference" that the P5 released the other day?

1. Be more likely to win 0 games in a season than go undefeated when looking at the past 15 years.

2. Average less in announced attendance than ECU the past 5 years.

3. Steal money for your athletic budget and get caught doing it.

4. Have lower viewership for your televised games than a NASCAR truck series race.

5. Claim a national title, but not win one.

6. Beat a team that once beat a team that did win a national title.

7. Have an OCS.
