Any person in any position that takes a job for the first time had zero experience in that particular position prior to taking it. Weak argument.

I'm not arguing against him getting the job, just not sure what it will look like.

Have we had anybody promoted from positions coach to OC with no previous experience in the past? Can't recall off the top of my head. I believe Woodie was on Defense....

Can someone on the “100% make King OC” train please enlighten me on why you are so sure this is the move we definitely need to make?

I get that he’s a great recruiter but what is all the fuzz about?

I don't think it would be smart to hire an inexperienced OC under a defensive minded coach.

just please get rid of the power run philosophy. it doesn't work here.

Feel free to look him up in the USF directory. He's been coaching since 2006....12 years, in addition to his playing career and time as an NFL analyst. Familiarity with the players, our top recruiter and etc.

It looks like he coached 2006 and 2008 then not again until 2015. I remember him working for Yahoo for awhile.

I am not sold either that he will be the greatest OC. That said, I think what many are thinking, he is green, he isn't completely full of himself and doesn't seem to have some pre-packaged predetermined offense. So if something isn't working, odds are he might try something else.

In lieu of watching 2 years of CWT try an offense that didn't work. Then we got two seasons of watching a fun offense, of getting players in space. Only to turn around and have to watch 2 more seasons of watching someone try to force a square peg in a round hole because of their ego.

I know we joke about it but really, could it get any worse? Letting the QB just make up stuff in the huddle and play sand lot football would probably work better.

I think he was an NFL Analyst in that time frame. which to me is great  experience watching and analyzing football for a living.

Let him OC the bowl game and scour the country for a good hire at OC that runs a spread system after the bowl.  If King can get the offense humming in the bowl game he deserves an interview.....
