Weak argument. I'm not arguing against him getting the job, just not sure what it will look like. Have we had anybody promoted from positions coach to OC with no previous experience in the past? Can't recall off the top of my head. I believe Woodie was on Defense.... Edited December 7, 2018 by USFBulls727

I get that he’s a great recruiter but what is all the fuzz about?

He's been coaching since 2006....12 years, in addition to his playing career and time as an NFL analyst. Familiarity with the players, our top recruiter and etc.

I am not sold either that he will be the greatest OC. That said, I think what many are thinking, he is green, he isn't completely full of himself and doesn't seem to have some pre-packaged predetermined offense. So if something isn't working, odds are he might try something else. In lieu of watching 2 years of CWT try an offense that didn't work. Then we got two seasons of watching a fun offense, of getting players in space. Only to turn around and have to watch 2 more seasons of watching someone try to force a square peg in a round hole because of their ego. I know we joke about it but really, could it get any worse? Letting the QB just make up stuff in the huddle and play sand lot football would probably work better. Edited December 7, 2018 by usf97

If King can get the offense humming in the bowl game he deserves an interview.....
