If they do replace that sign, I suggest going with a video screen sign --- that way the next time we cahnge the logo, it will be easy to update by changing the image file.

Feels like we change our stuff that often.

 

I like this sign by the way-- it should stay regardless. Have some freaking traditions means embracing your history.

As much as I hate the new Merrill Lynch rip off logo I have to agree. Without the horrible colors it isn't all that bad. Just the black outline of the bull on the white background, though clearly reminiscent of M.L. isn't offensive to my eyes like the puke green and yellow version

I didn't think the bull was all that bad.

The color scheme and the font are what I found offensive.

I'd almost rather have seen comic sans as the font.

there must be a few for-profit colleges in the area to reference for precedent. maybe we could work-in a corporate sponsor somewhere in the graphic like Denny's, Chick-fil-A, or Target; a representation of the the long-standing local institutions surrounding our campus. think total Disneyfication. just spitballing here.

I know nobody ever likes a new logo when it’s released.

The gators didn’t like their gator head logo calling it a head on a platter.  

FSU didn’t like the new Osceola logo (it’s still not as good as what it replaced imo).

But this logo is really bad.  I don’t know what the worst part of it is; the bull, that gold is no longer a color, or the font. They’re replacing the light pole covers on campus that used to use the athletic bull and it’s a huge downgrade.

The USF website looks like a middle or high school now; not a preeminent university.

I don’t understand how this helps improve USF into 1 brand.  There’s still an athletic logo and an academic logo, and clubs are still going to make their own logos based on the two.  Now there will be more confusion as the colors of the two are not congruent.

Not good!

I read in here people didn’t like the athletic logo when it first came out?  Why?
