that doesn't deserve a CFP berth.

for a G5 team to break the playoffs they have to schedule-- & beat-- ranked P5 teams.

UCF made no attempt to schedule elite P5 teams. Pitt & UNC are perpetual middling .500 teams at best.

In fairness Georgia tech and Illinois aren't much better.

G5 doesn't "deserve" it because of a pre-determined strength of schedule rating that they calculate. Who said that though?

North Carolina won 11 games when that game was scheduled by UCF.   UCF was supposed to play at Texas this season but they bought it out   There is only so much you can control

There is only so much you can control

 

The barrage of hate UCF is receiving for existing and winning should alarm every fan not in the Power 5.

we feel it as well but even ESPN and other media outlets gives us grief for being not as good as our ranking. At least they give your team some sort of respect and positive talk for the most part.

it is all smoke and mirrors--- none of it matters as I am sure you are aware after last year. The P5 are not letting the G5 anywhere near that playoff.

Only an idiot would think it would play out any other way.   They know we want what they have and they **** sure aren't going to give it to us.

I'd like to think there are some rational UCF fans around who would not agree with the whole "we are National Champions" self declared trophy presentation-- just like there were USF fans who grimaced when our administration decided to put up billboards announcing USF as part of the mythical "Big 4" when we beat FSU.

Also-- the hate he seems to be talking about is from just being in the top ten after playing pretty much no one and barely beating mediocre Memphis. P5 fans love to talk crap about our conference-- even more than when we were in the Big East it seems.

 Naïveté  on this board is sometimes comical. Dont you all understand that this has nothing to do with strength of schedule?  It is all political based on conference.  ucf  could have played Alabama every week and they still are not going to the playoffs.
