G5 doesn't "deserve" it because of a pre-determined strength of schedule rating that they calculate. Who said that though?

Who is they? There are about 75 computer rankings and our schedule sucks in every one of them. I haven't come across one yet that even puts us in the top half and I've now looked at 42/75. It's been a slow day at work.

When they split the G5 from the P5 they all but ensured any G5's SOS would NEVER be good enough.  Its the definition of a stacked deck.

They are the people who rank the strength of the team.  How do you think the computers start off their strength computations.. out of thin air?  People give each team the initial strength and it goes from there.  And obviously the initial strength ranking is always biased.

FIFY.

USF Beat 2 "Power" teams so far this year.  6 of the last 5 too, right?

Two bad they both suck...and we barely beat them.

If we go undefeated in 2022 that could put us in given we have Texas, Florida, and Louisville as our non conference schedule

That's the point... P5, G5, doesnt matter... if G5 wins, it's because the other team is is bad (per ESPN).

C. beat a good Auburn Team, but they discredited it the entire time.

Quick scan - one "they" has us at # 12 and another "they" has us at # 85. I personally have us at 6-0.

GO BULLS!

This isn't meant to be snarky, but have you ever actually researched how SOS is calculated?

Stop with this. It literally doesn't matter. Next year Wisconsin will have a "down year" if we beat them to open the season. Period. It means nothing when the people in charge of the entire system says it means nothing.

No hope?
